This is a synopsis for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format under Simplified Acquisition Procedures in accordance with FAR Part 13.5, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This solicitation document incorporates provisions and clauses that are in effect through the June 2008 Federal Acquisition Regulation revision, which includes the consolidation of all Federal Acquisition Circulars through 2005-26. This acquisition is a 100% small business set-aside. The purpose of this procurement is to obtain Traveling Exhibition Coordinator to work closely with the Exhibition Registrar on-site at the National Library of Medicine (NLM) to provide comprehensive, efficient and appropriate customer services for interested and participating venues. Tasks include but are not limited to: representing the Exhibition Program and the National Library of Medicine; identifying and pursuing possible venues; responding to inquiries from interested venues; creating, adapting, compiling, maintaining and otherwise managing and providing verbal, online and printed informational and promotional material about the exhibition; creating and managing tour schedules, arranging for transportation, timely troubleshooting and instructional support to venues; maintaining exhibition surveys and other documents related to each host institution; summarizing program activities on a quarterly bases in a report; and otherwise supporting the Exhibition Program’s traveling exhibition projects. It is anticipated that one (1) award will be made from this solicitation and that the award will be made on or about September 26 2008. The contractors will be determined by the overall technical evaluation scores of their proposals. The purchase order term will be September 30, 2008 through September 29, 2009 with options for three (3) successive one-year periods. Request for Quotations (RFQ) Number NLM-08 190-UHP will be available on or about August 29, 2008. The FAR provisions and clauses sited herein are incorporated by reference into this solicitation. Offerors are advised to propose in accordance with the provision of FAR 52.212 1, Instructions to Offerors Commercial Items. Offerors are advised to provide with their offer a completed copy of the following provision: FAR 52.212 3, Offeror Representations and Certifications Commercial Items (http://www.arnet.gov/far/). The following FAR clauses apply to this acquisition: FAR 52.212 4, Contract Terms and Conditions Commercial Items; FAR 52 212 5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders Commercial Items.
