The contractor shall provide all Qualified Supervision, Labor, Materials, Equipment, Tools, Transportation, etc, to Transport, Inspect, Paint and Perform Repairs to the hull of USG ISC Kodiak Paint Barge located on LASH Dock Warf, Kodiak Alaska. Work includes, but is not limited to: Remove the Paint Barge Superstructure and Transport both the hull and superstructure to ISC Kodiak Pad 93 OR to Contractor’s Facility to perform all work. Barge shall be located and cribbed up to allow for complete underwater body hull and to re-attach superstructure. Once all work is completed, re-float barge, transport and moor barge at ISC Kodiak Cargo pier, IAW the SOW. Contractor will be selected based on the lowest price technically accepted. All responsible sources that submit a written quotation will be considered. GOVERNMENT FURNISHED MATERIALS: None. PERFORMANCE PERIOD is 2 Weeks. Work to be performed 01-31 AUGUST 2008. SUBMITTALS DUE UPON AWARD may include but are not limited to: Paint Schedule, Paint Manufacture, Date, Lot and Batch Numbers. Manufacturer catalogs, standard schedules, performance charts, instructions, brochures, diagrams, etc., in addition to references and qualifications. Lack of adequacy of references shall be at the sole discretion of the Government and may constitute grounds for disqualification. CONTRACTOR SHALL COMPLY WITH requirements of: applicable Coast Guard Safety Regulations, federal, state, and local regulations pertaining to water, air, and noise pollution. ADDITIONAL SPECIFICATIONS OR REQUIREMENTS ARE CONTAINED IN STATEMENT OF WORK THAT WILL BE INCLUDED WITH REQUEST FOR QUOTE DOCUMENTS WHEN THEY ARE ISSUED ON APPROXIMATELY JUNE 11, 2008. Paint Barge Specs are: Length – 33’11”, Water Line – 29’, Beam – 14’, Draft – 1’6”, Weight – 36,133 lbs, Ballast – 11,300 lbs, Superstructure – Detachable Scaffolding. A SITE VISIT WILL BE HELD JULY 2, 2008, APPROXIMATELY TWO WEEKS BEFORE QUOTE IS DUE. (Site visits are not mandatory, but are highly encouraged.)
