The National Institute of Standards & Technology (NIST), Acquisition Management Division (AMD), Team E-Boulder, CS seeks information on vendors that are capable of providing Transponder Bandwidth on A Geostationary Satellite per the attached Performance Work Statement (PWS).
The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) has a need to purchase non-preemptible Ku-band transponder capacity on a geostationary communications satellite for a Two-Way Satellite Time and Frequency Transfer (TWSTFT) network. This network involves phase coded time transfer and data transmissions (1.0 or possibly 2.5 Mchips/s, depending on price) among 18 European and North American Stations. Note that this is a code division multiple access (CDMA) network and that more than one station will be transmitting at the same time.
The purpose of this notice is to identify organizations capable of providing the necessary service and meeting the minimum contractor qualifications now and /or in the near future.
