National Institute on Drug Abuse, Office of Acquisitions- Neurosciences, Station Support/Simplified Acquisitions intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Jali Med, 330 Bear Hill Road, Waltham, MA, for two (2) transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) machines and combining box. The NINDS currently owns components and it must be compatible. There is a requirement for TMS pulses at short and varying intervals (minimum of 0.1 ms in increments of 0.1 ms.) Jali Med is the only known source to provide the TMS machines in the United States. Delivery is 30 days after receipt of order to the NIH campus in Bethesda, MD.
The acquisition is being conducted under simplified acquisition using FAR 12 procedures and is exempt from the requirements of FAR Part 6, Competition Requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. Interested parties may identify their interest and capabilities in response to this synopsis. The determination by the Government not to compete the proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely with the discretion of the Government.
