The project herein advertised shall be known and referenced as Trailhead Restrooms | #2020-003-ITB, said project consisting of the furnishing of all labor, materials, and equipment as required by and according to the details, specifications, and contract documents contained in the Invitation to Bid and generally described as follows: The project consists of two (2) restroom buildings. Each building is identical, approximately 900 SF, and will be located at two trail heads within the City of Madison. The structure will be one story, slab-on-grade, load bearing CMU wall with a concrete roof. The building will be designed as a hardened space and will also have a standing seam metal roof and a rough-cut wood canopy at the front. Each building will contain a Men’s Room, Women’s Room, Family Restroom and a ticket area. The spaces will be heated and cooled. All site work and utility preparation will be performed under separate contract by owner. It is expected that the contractor will be able to perform the construction of both restrooms at the same time although the schedule may differ slightly. All work is to be performed per the general and technical specifications and plans contained in the Invitation to Bid packet, which can be obtained at www.madisonal.gov under Open Bids at no charge. No pre-qualification is required for this project. An optional Pre-Bid Conference will be held at 2:00pm local time on Tuesday, May 5, 2020, in Conference Room 130 in the Madison Municipal Complex located at 100 Hughes Road, Madison, Alabama 35758. Sealed bids for the performance of such work will be received in the Legal Department located on the main level of the Madison Municipal Complex, 100 Hughes Road, until 2:00pm local time on Thursday, May 14, 2020. Immediately thereafter, all bids submitted for the project will be opened in Conference Room 130 and evaluated with the intention of awarding a contract to the lowest responsible and responsive bidder.
