The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to issue a modification to Contract N00019-11-C-0043 to Avidyne Corporation, 55 Old Bedford Road, Lincoln MA 01773 on a sole source basis to procure four additional TAS620 Traffic Collision Avoidance Systems (TCAS), transponder couplers and ADT1520 Display/Controls for the MV-22 tiltrotor aircraft. The TAS620 TCAS system and ancillary equipment supplied by Avidyne Corporation is the only TCAS system that can readily meet the technical requirements/constraints for integration into the MV-22 as well as meet the delivery requirements to support urgent fielding.
