This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) subpart 12.6, “Streamlined Procedures for Evaluation and Solicitation for Commercial Items,” as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This project consists of demolition, clearing of demolished material to allow for stream flow. Contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment and material to accomplish the work under this project. There is no roaded access to the project site, therefore a walking excavator (also known as“Spider Excavator”) is required to complete project work. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested, and a written solicitation document will not be issued.
This solicitation is a "request for quotations (RFQ).” The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through the current Federal Acquisition Circular.

Offerors or quoters are urged and expected to inspect the site where services are to be performed and to satisfy themselves regarding all general and local conditions that may affect the cost of contract performance, to the extent that the information is reasonably obtainable. In no event shall failure to inspect the site constitute grounds for a claim after contract award.
A site visit will be held on Thursday, March 19, at 10:00 am. You may meet at the intersection of Trabuco Creek Road and Live Oak Canyon Road (see attached maps, Trabuco Creek Road at Live Oak Canyon Road - Maps 1 and 2, for meeting location). Note: A closure order is currently in place with a locked gate going into the canyon. In addition, there may be little or no cell phone reception in the canyon, depending upon your service provider.
