This is a synopsis/presolicitation notice for a commercial service. The Naval Surface Warfare Center Carderock Division (NSWCCD) Philadelphia intends to award a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) contract to JonRie Intertech. NSWCCD has established a requirement for Engineering and Technical Support Services to repair the Tow Machine on USNS Catawba (T-ATF 168). JonRie Intertech possesses proprietary knowledge of the Tow Machines making them the only responsible contractor that can provide these services.
The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302-1. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals and does not constitute a solicitation. However, all RFQs received prior to the closing date will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
A hard copy of the solicitation will not be made available. Offerors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database to be considered for award.
