The USDA, ARS, NWISRL proposes to purchase and is seeking competitive quotes for a total organic Carbon (TOC) analyzer, with a TOC Auto sampler and possibly a Total N (TN) unit as well.

The TOC analyzes water samples derived from ground and surface waters, and soil leachate with EC < 0.3 S/m.

The interface should be a PC-controlled instrument with output to a memory stick.
Analyte will be Total-C, Inorganic C and non-purgeable organic carbon (NPOC).
The range will be 50 ppb to 4000 ppm.
Sample pretreatment :  Automatic dilution, acid addition, and sparging of sample.
The auto-sampler unit must handle at least 60 sample vials of 6 mL or greater volume.
