The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), National Center for Emerging and Zoonotic Infectious Diseases (NCEZID), intends to issue a sole source award to Topaz Technologies in Pflugerville, Texas. The purpose of this procurement is to procure maintanence and upgrading services to the Government's current Topaz Software for animal husbandry.
The Government believes that the Topaz software is proprietary, and that the required services can only be performed by the Topaz Corporation. The statutory authority for this sole source acquisition is 10 U.S.C 2304(c)(1) in accordance with FAR Part 6.302-1- only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy the agency requirement. The NAICS code for this procurement is 541511, Custom Computer Programming Services.
