2. Quantity of one (1) on-axis rotation tomography holder
a. Must be able to accept sharp-pointed, conically-shaped specimens such as those prepared using FIB technology, or those used for atom probe field ion microscopy.
b. The specimen should be maintained in a cartridge on the axis of the holder.
c. A manual drive must allow full 360 degree rotation of the specimen.
d. When rotational orientation is established, the mechanism must lock and a three-position click-stop facilitates indexing the specimen in 120 degree increments.
e. At every interval the transmission electron microscopy's goniometer shall be used to capture the tilt series. Allowing full 306 degree information to be obtained from the specimen.
f. The specimen cartridge shall be:
1. Precisely positioned with respect to the electron beam;
2. Ejected for ease of specimen loading; and
3. Retracted into the body of the holder to protect the specimen during loading into and removal from the goniometer.
Delivery for this equipment should be 2-4 weeks after receipt of order (ARO). FOB Destination.
We intend to award this contract sole source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements.
