The Iowa DOT is seeking a bidder to provide tire screening and anomaly systems at four DOT scale locations. Responders are to open each Tab of this proposal in Ion Wave from left to right when submitting responses to ensure all requirements are seen. Response can be multiple labeled document attachments or a single master document (preferred) as long as the document is electronically searchable and material is clearly labeled in a table of contents. Communications: All questions must be directed solely to the purchasing agent listed in the bid opportunity. Inquiries must be submitted within the Ion Wave system. Written, phoned, or faxed bids can be accepted only if responder does not have the means to submit electronically. Responders must contact the agent assigned to the bid opportunity. In all cases, written communication will take precedence over verbal communication. Contract Award A committee is established for the purpose of reviewing and evaluating proposed responses based on a set of criteria outlined in this RFP. Evaluation criteria will define categories with assigned weighted values to be used as a scoring measure to determine the best overall solution for the Department based on technical expertise and price, including, but not limited to the criteria outlined in this RFP (See attribute #13). The award shall be offered to a firm whose properly submitted compliant response best meets the requirements of the solicitation and receives the highest overall score of the weighted criteria. All lines are tied. Contract The Iowa DOT is estimating a six month installation period.
