This notice is to announce that NSN: 2610-00-262-1948 is being solicited.  This is a combination synopsis/solicitation notice.  The solicitation number is:

SPE7L714X0011 and is issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ).  The solicitation is available in FedBizOps on April 1, 2014. https://www.dibbs.bsm.dla.mil/RFP/.

An Indefinite Purchase Order(IDPO) with one base year , four option years is anticipated.  Estimated annual demand (ADQ) is 1221 each.  The ADQ represents an estimate only and is not a guaranteed amount.  Multiple delivery orders may be written against the basic contract for a maximum  of five years.  Solicitations will be issued as 100% Small Business Set Aside.  The delivery for this acquisition will b e FOB Origin and deliveries will be DLA direct within the continental United States.  Various incremental quantities will be solicited. While price is a significant factor in the evaluation of offers, the final award decision will be based upon a combination of price, delivery, past performance and other evaluation factors as described in the solicitation.

The solicitation issue date is April 1, 2014 with the response date on April 15, 2014.  Note: copies of this solicitation will only be available via the world Wide Web.  Hard copies of this solicitation are not available.  All responsible sources may submit an offer/quote, which shall be considered.

INNER TUBE,PNEUMATIC TIRE,VEHICULAR

THIS SHELF LIFE ITEM IS NON-EXTENDABLE, CODE S,
WITH A TOTAL SHELF LIFE OF SIXTY MONTHS.
MATERIAL FURNISHED UNDER THIS CONTRACT/ORDER
SHALL HAVE AT LEAST 85% (51 MONTHS) OF SHELF
LIFE REMAINING AT TIME OF DELIVERY.

CLASS I OZONE DEPLETING CHEMICALS ARE NOT TO BE
USED NOR INCORPORATED IN ANY ITEMS TO BE
DELIVERED UNDER THIS CONTRACT.THIS PROHIBITION
SUPERSEDES ALL SPECIFICATION REQUIREMENTS BUT
DOES NOT ALLEVIATE ANY PRODUCT REQUIREMENTS.
SUBSTITUTE CHEMICALS MUST BE SUBMITTED FOR
APPROVAL UNLESS THEY ARE AUTHORIZED BY THE
SPECIFICATION REQUIREMENTS.
EACH INNER TUBE SHALL BE PARTLY INFLATED AND
FOLDED TO PREVENT SHARP CREASES. EACH INNER TUBE SHALL BE
TREATED WITH POWDERED SOAPSTONE OR TALC TO
PREVENT STICKING WHEN FOLDED.
