AFTC/PZI (Arnold) contracting division intends to solicit and award a Firm-Fixed Price "Sales" contract for a timber sale at Arnold Air Force Base (AFB), TN. The contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, tools, supervision equipment, and other items and services necessary to harvest and remove pine and hardwood timber at Arnold AFB, TN in accordance with the attached Performance Work Statement (PWS) and maps. This award will consist of 4 CLINs: CLIN 0001 Pine Sawtimber (Est. 3,000 Tons), CLIN 0002 Pine Pulpwood (Est. 12,000 Tons), CLIN 0003 Hardwood Pulpwood (Est. 90 Tons), and CLIN 0004 Hardwood Sawtimber (Est. 6,000 Board Feet).
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued.
The solicitation number for this effort is TimberHarvest0202. Offerors shall comply with the attached instructions, provisions, and clauses. The following Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) provisions and clauses apply to this acquisition and are included in Attachment 3-FAR Provisions and Clauses.
The following Attachments to this notice include: (1) Performance Work Statement titled "AAFB Forest Harvest PWS 2018"; (2) AEDC Timber Harvest Pricing Response Sheet; (3) FAR Provisions and Clauses.
The NAICS code is 113310. This solicitation is unrestricted and being procured using full and open competition.
Quotes shall be submitted by inserting the unit price in CLINs 0001, 0002, 0003, 0004 of the AEDC Timber Harvest Pricing Response Sheet. The amounts can be hand-written in and must be readable.
Payment for this sale will be on a "pay as cut" payment.
Offers due date/time. Quotation responses shall be received electronically no later than 2:00 PM CST on 20 April 2018. Questions (if applicable) shall be received electronically No Later Than (NLT) 2:00 PM CST 18 April 2018. Government will provide responses/answers (if required) by an amendment. The Government anticipates posting the responding amendment NLT 2:00 PM CST on 19 April 2018.
Required Quotation Package. Vendors shall submit quote package electronically (by e-mail) and the Government shall receive the package NLT the established date and time (2:00 PM CST on 20 April 2018). Electronic mail (e-mail) submission to the below email address is the only acceptable method to submit a response to this solicitation.
