To resolve the sewage discharge issue and to eliminate the risk associated with sewer mains located in and on stream channels, SPU is proposing to plug both sewer mains within Thornton Creek, which requires rerouting the four private side sewers that flow to those mains. The scope of work for this project is to install a grinder pump at the four residential homes and abandon their connection to the existing sewer systems that cross Thornton Creek. The grinder pumps and new side sewer will connect to the existing sewer in NE 105th Place.
