The "SPAWAR / Industry Conference 2003" will be held October 22 - 24, 2003, at the Bahia Hotel, Mission Bay, San Diego, CA. The annual event is co-sponsored by the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command and the San Diego Chapter of the National Defense Industrial Association. This year's theme is "Architecting and Implementing FORCEnet." Senior officials will focus on explaining FORCEnet, along with how the Navy and other services are planning to fund and compose joint transformational warfighting requirements. The highlighted speaker is the Hon. John Stenbit, Assistant Secretary of Defense Networks and Information Integration / DoD Chief Information Officer. Featured speakers will include representatives of SPAWAR, PEO C4I & Space, NETWARCOM, USAF, JFCOM, COMNAVSURFPAC, COMTHIRDFLT, USA, USMC, NAVSEA, MARCORSYSCOM, and OPNAV (N61). The briefing program will include two social events: a reception and an awards dinner.
