The Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) plans to award a sole source purchase order to the National Conference of State Legislatures (NCSL). The NCSL will provide critical outreach and information for elected/appointed officials and their legislative staff that will advance Transportation Systems Management Operations (TSM&O) along with the Intelligent Transportation System (ITS). Additionally, the NCSL will research, write reports about relevant state laws, track state statutes and legislation, legisbriefs, committee sessions at an NCSL meeting, and information request web sites that project and respond to request for information regarding transportation operations and management issues. Because NCSL is the only source who provides direct access and services to State Legislative officials which is critical to the agencies mission. This is a Simplified Acquisition and the anticipated award date is June 3, 2008.
