The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) has a requirement for procurement of service for the testing of two DIRCM configurations at the Northrop Grumman Corporation laboratory prior to flight test. The testing shall include Hardware Software Interface (HIS), messages and interfaces, and compatibility between the components of the configuration under test. Approximately 3 to 4 weeks testing are required to meet program schedule and fleet needs. The 201 SLTA (Small Laser Transmitter Assembly) shall be Qualified By Similarity (QBS) upon successful completion of testing with the 301 SLTA. Northrop Grumman personnel shall be responsible for preparing test laboratory facilities and conducting SFQT/DVT (Software Functional Qualification Test/Deployment Verification Test) testing. Northrop Grumman Corporation shall be responsible for reporting results of tests in each configuration.
This effort is being awarded on a sole source basis to Northrop Grumman Corporation, Electronic Systems, Defensive Systems Division, in accordance with FAR 6.302-1 because Northrop Grumman is the sole designer, developer, and manufacturer of the equipment addressed in this synopsis and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.
