This solicitation is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities(FBO) page located at http://www.fbo.gov/ and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line(NECO) site located at http://www.neco.navy.mil . While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division has a requirement for quantity three (3) upgrades to existing Teradyne 9100 testers in accordance with a Government Statement of Work (SOW). A fixed price contract modification to existing contract N00164-06-C-6815 is anticipated to procure these upgrades as follows: CLIN 0032 is the NGT2 Teradyne 9100 upgrade. The required delivery date is 30 November 2007. Initial Government inspection and acceptance will be at origin and final acceptance will be at destination. CLIN 0033 is the NGT3 Teradyne 9100 upgrade. The required delivery date is 30 November 2007. Initial Government inspection and acceptance will be at origin and final acceptance will be at destination. CLIN 0034 is the NGT1 Teradyne 9100 upgrade. The required delivery date is 28 February 2008. Initial Government inspection and acceptance will be at origin and final acceptance will be at destination. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate this contract modification on a sole-source basis to Teradyne, 600 Riverpark Dr. North Reading, MD 01864-2634. The basis for restricting competition is that Teradyne, being the Original Equipment Manufacturer, is the only known source for each of the items that can satisfy the Government’s requirements, and it is likely that award to any other source would result in substantial duplication of cost to the Government that is not expected to be recovered through competition. Numbered Note 22 applies. All changes to the requirement that occur prior to the closing date will be posted to Crane web site, FedBizOpps and NECO. It is the responsibility of interested vendors to monitor the Crane web site, FedBizOpps and/or NECO.
