The purpose of this notice is to identify companies, in particular small business socio-economic categories capable and qualified of providing six (6) satellite tracking telescopes for automated satellite characterization research. This will be a Brand Name or Equal acquisition.
The Satellite Tracking Telescope System consists of the following:

• Minimum mirror aperture of 20"
• ~ f/8 optical design
• Zero Expansion Astro-Sitall (or equivalent) Ritchey-Chretien Optics. Tested and certified to at least 1/25th wave RMS
• Enhanced Aluminum (SiO2/TiO2) Overcoat - at least 96.9% Reflectivity
• Low expansion, light weight carbon fiber truss
• Secondary mirror focuser
• Primary mirror baffles with light stops
• Secondary mirror baffles
• Active cooling
• Robotic primary mirror cover for remote/autonomous operation
• Telescope Interface Module (TIM) designed to control the telescope focuser and rotator, operate the primary mirror cover, and provide basic temperature control via heaters and fans.
• TIM shall be set up and controlled by both a handheld remote or through a PC-based graphical user interface. TIM shall have RISC architecture, USB and Ethernet interfaces and be Windows 7 compatible.
• Fixed Instrument Adapter and Field Flattener/Corrector accessories-must include the field rotator to have a place for the field flattener.
• Takahashi - FSQ-106 New "Q" wide field refractor with Robofocus and Takometer.
• Paramount ME with appropriate counterweight system for proposed optical tube assembly and with appropriate accessories for permanently mounting the telescope system to a cement pier.

Interested firms must reference their 8(a), HUBZone, Woman Owned or Service Disabled Veteran-Owned status and must be signed by a company official with authority to bind the company. All potential offerors are reminded, in accordance with Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations (DFARS) 252.204-7004, Required Central Contractor Registration, lack of registration in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) will make an offeror ineligible for contract award. This Sources Sought Notice is also issued for the purpose of market research in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 10. All businesses capable of providing the telescope systems are invited to respond. Any information provided by industry to the Government as a result of this sources sought synopsis is voluntary. The Government will not pay for any information submitted in response to this sources sought synopsis.

The specifications for this requirement are included. Comments and/or suggestions on the specifications are encouraged and can be included in your capabilities package.
Interested businesses shall provide the following information:
