This is a notice of intent to award a sole source purchase order under the statutory authority of 10 USC 2304(c)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisy the Agency requirements of Tecan U.S. Inc., 4022 Stirrup Creek Dr. Ste 310, Durham N.C. 27703-9411 for an upgrade to an esxisting Freedom EVO 150 System (S/N 506000012).

The proposed contract action will upgrade the current U.S. Army-owned Tecan Freedom EVO 150 System. The Vacuum Separation unit, Magnetic Separation unit, Hood, and Thermal Cycler will be add-ons to the existing system. The specifications for the add ons must be able to interface with the Freedom EVO 150, and software and/or firmware associated. In addition these items must be able to interface with EVOware 2.1 robot control software. Provide all hardware and software required for integration into the Freedom EVO 150 and EVOware 2.1.

This Notice of Intent to award a sole source purchase order is not a request for competitive proposals. There is no solicitation document. NO REQUEST FOR QUOTATION (RFQ) WILL BE AVAILABLE FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. Phone calls will not be accepted. Interested parties my express their interest and provide a capabilities statement no later than May 21, 2012 at 2:00 P.M. EST. The determination to refrain from competing this proposed purchase order based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
