The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention intends to award a limited source firm fixed price purchase order to Tecan U.S. in order to acquire Tecan Fluent Alquiot Workstation and necessary accessories to install, control, and operate this testing and research equipment for resrach and testing using a pre-validated laboratory method. The Tecan Fluent Alquiot Workstation is peculiar to only one manufacturer, Tecan U.S. this particular workstation is needed for ongoing research continuity. Tecan U.S. is the only known vendors who distributes these products. This contract action is for supplies and services, which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only three sources under the authority of FAR 8.4 and 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1). Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement.

This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, all responses received within six (5) days of the issuance of this notice will be considered by the government. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
