Time to Digital Converter (TDC)/Microscaler Acquisition

The TDC will enhance the resolution and sensitivity of our mass spectrometer.  These improvements will greatly increase the systems available for study.  To achieve this, the following specifications are required:

•1)    The time digitizer -

•a.    Must be compatible with Time-of-Flight Mass Spectrometer

•b.    Must have a time resolution of 72 picoseconds (ps) at Full Width Half Maximum (FWHM)

•c.    Must achieve  minimum pulse width evaluation of 100 ps (positive or negative)

•d.    The maximum input counting rate must be 10 Gbit/s (400 mV input amplitude)

•                                          i.    Bin-width must be 100 ps, independent of selected range

•e.    Must have a USB, preferably a USB2, computer connection to interface with our windows based software

•f.     Warranty of at least 1 year
