The City of Westfield on behalf of the Westfield-Barnes Regional Airport, Massachusetts invites sealed bids for furnishing all labor and materials and performing all work in connection with a construction contract at the Westfield-Barnes Regional Airport, Westfield, Massachusetts as follows: CONSTRUCT TAXIWAY B5 The work includes, but is not limited to: excavation, providing and installing base courses, asphalt pavement, drainage system, edge reflectors, pavement markings, and lighting and signage. Procedures regarding bids and the selection of contractors shall be in conformity with the Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 30, Section 39M, as amended to date. Sealed Bids for the General Contract must be delivered to the City of Westfield Purchasing Department, 59 Court Street, Room 101, Westfield, MA 01085 prior to 2:00 pm Eastern Daylight Savings Time, on Tuesday, June 13, 2023 at which time and place the bids will be publicly opened and read aloud. Bids received after the above time and date will be returned unopened. General Bids must be submitted on the Form for General bid included herein. The General Bids shall be filed with the Owner at the location designated above, accompanied by a bid deposit in the form of a bid bond or a certified check, in the amount not less than five percent (5%) of the bid price for the Contract work. The bid security shall be made payable to the City of Westfield. The Instruction to Bidders, Bid Proposal Forms, Contract Documents, Plans and Specifications may be examined at the City of Westfield Purchasing Office, 59 Court Street, Westfield, Massachusetts, 01085, (413)572-6254 on or after May 24, 2023 between the hours of 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM Monday through Friday.
