Sole Source Justification:
The proposed procurement is for TACLANEs which are being installed to provide data encryption to support NGAââ¬â¢s architecture. The TACLANE devices are already installed within the current footprint. Additional units are needed to incorporate interconnectivity to allow file sharing directly between different locations. This requirement will provide true IP based network for the NGA infrastructure. General Dynamics solely manufactures and repairs the KG-175D devices under the authority of the National Security Agency (NSA). NSA accredits, certifies, manages, and controls all aspects of the Cryptographic devices for the Department of Defense, Military Departments, and Federal Agencies.
