This request for information is a market research tool to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources which will be used for planning purposes and to determine if potential sources exist to support the requirement. USSOCOM is seeking information from companies capable of providing a non-developmental, National Institute of Standards (NIST)/National Security Agency (NSA)-approved capability that protects Sensitive But Unclassified (SBU) and up to SECRET Data at Rest (DaR) on Special Operations Forces (SOF) Mobile Computing Devices (MCD). This capability will be highly integrated with the Tactical Local Area Network (TACLAN) Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN) capabilities outlined in USSOCOM Request for Information (RFI), TACLAN Secure WLAN, dated 15 March 2012.
