Notice of Intent to Award Sole Source
United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) is currently processing the follow-on contract for the Tactical Local Area Network (TACLAN) requirement via the Special Operations Forces Information Technology Enterprise Contracts (SITEC). It is anticipated that this follow-on contract will be awarded at the end of December 2011 or January 2012. It is necessary to extend the ordering period by six months on the existing Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract with iGov Technologies, 8200 Greensboro Dr., Suite 200, McLean, VA 22102 under the authority of FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(iii)(A). USSOCOM will extend the ordering period from 31 Dec 2011 to 30 June 2012. This extension is necessary to maintain hardware ordering and delivery. It is also necessary to allow the program to continue on-going operations while the new TACLAN contract source selection is being accomplished.
This Notice of Intent is not a request for competitive quotations, however interested parties may identify their interests and capability by responding to this requirement by 4:00 PM, EST, 12 December 2011 by e-mail to [email protected]. A determination by the Government not to compete the additional requirements based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
