The Naval Air Warfare Center, Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) Contracts Department, Patuxent River, MD in support of NAVAIR 4.4, Propulsion and Power, intends to negotiate delivery orders under Basic Ordering Agreement N00019-10-G-0007 on a sole source basis with General Electric, 1000 Western Ave, Lynn, MA 01902 for material and parts (700 Kits) to upgrade the T64 VG actuator hardware. This kit replaces the current seals and scraper with improved seals and scrapers increasing actuator reliability and reducing VG actuator fuel leaks. The Government intends to procure under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. General Electric is the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and the only contractor with the requisite knowledge and experience of the current T64 engine required for this effort. The estimated period of performance for this acquisition is 12 months. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS; however, responsible interested parties may submit information in which they can identify interest and capability to respond to this requirement.
