As the nation continues to combat the wide spread outbreak of the respiratory illness caused by the Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), the Department is increasing our social distancing in our workplaces. The general public is also asked to increase their social distance as directed by Governor Kemp. In accordance with the Governor's directives on this matter, we will not accept any hand delivered documentation to our physical office locations for the ITB process, effective March 25, 2020. This will include, but not limited to; bonds, post award documentation for the ITB process, or any other documentation related to the ITB process. Review carefully the information contained in Table 13.1 of the ITB package which will contain the delivery address for the purpose of sending any required documentation, which will be used by delivery of FedEx, UPS, and/or USPS. Failure to provide any required documentation to the identified address by the deadline date and time will result in the bid being deemed non-responsive. Also, as the COVID-19 virus continues to spread across the US, additional changes may occur with the ITB bid process. At a minimum, delivery addresses for documentation may change due to our limited access to GDOT facilities. This solicitation is being conducted by the Georgia Department of Transportation under its authority to procure services ancillary to the construction and maintenance of a public road (as defined in O.C.G.A 32-1-3 (24) as provided for in O.C.G.A 32-2-61 (c) and (d) (1) (D).
