The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) in Reston, VA has a requirement for subscription services for the USGS libraries in Reston, VA, Denver, CO, Menlo Park, CA, and Flagstaff, AZ, to provide print and electronic subscriptions to scientific journals, databases and serial literature collected and maintained by the USGS Libraries. The contract will be for one base year and four one-year option periods. The contract will be competed using the FEDLINK Serials Subscription Services of the Library of Congress, FEDLINK ID GISV with the right to exercise available option years. The Federal Library and Information Network (FEDLINK) is a nationwide interagency consortium sponsored by the Library of Congress (LC or the Library) through its Federal Library and Information Center Committee (FLICC). FEDLINK offers federal libraries, information centers and other federal offices information retrieval and library support services to help them fulfill their crucial mission of keeping the Government and the nation informed. The authority for this requirement is Interagency Agreement 2006-69-0552.GISV with LC to use FEDLINK services. The Direct Pay Services will be utilized. The UGSG intends to issue an RFQ to existing Basic Ordering Agreement holders who previously qualified for this process by responding to RFP S-LC04018-2 for the placement of new and renewal FEDLINK serials subscription services for domestic and foreign serials and publications and for related services.
