The U.S. Geological Survey, Central Region, Geographic Information Office has a requirement to acquire imagery for Austin, Texas urban area in response to a Department of Defense (DOD) request for high-resolution imagery over 134 urban areas in support of Homeland Security. The imagery will True 6-inch Ground Sample Distance and true 2-foot Ground Sample Distance; True Natural color; Horizontal accuracy of +/- 1feet (pixels) RMSE for 2-foot data; NAD 83 Datum; State Plane, Texas Central Zone, feet; Tiff with associated world file format; USGS High resolution DOQ requirement. Imagery must be less than 2 years old. The total cost to the government is 3.6% of the total cost of data for which the government will receive a license free deliverable to be used in the public domain. The U.S. Geological Survey considers this specified requirement as a sole source to Capital Area Council of Governments, 2512 S. IH-35, Ste.200, Austin, TX 78704. Other interested concerns having the ability to furnish these services at the same cost may submit a capabilities statement to the contracting officer USGS, PO Box 25046 Denver Federal Center, Denver, CO 8025-0046 no later than the closing date of this requirement (08/03/2006) 3:00 PM MST. All submissions will be evaluated to determine if competitive opportunities exist; if no submissions are receivced by the above appointed time, the Government will proceed with noncompetitive award without further notice.
