The award will go to Echostar Communications Corporation, 9601 S Meridian Blvd, Englewood, CO, 80112-5905. The period of performance shall be 10/01/06 to 03/31/07 at Buckley AFB CO 80011-9551. This requirement is considered sole source due to the fact that Buckley AFB CO currently has Dish Network service and equipment through Echostar Communications and changing contractors would result in significant re-occurring costs and downtime to the government. The NAICS code for this requirement is 515210 with a small business size standard of $13.5M. The 460th Contracting Squadron intends to award a purchase order by other than full and open competition in accordance with Subpart 6.302-1 (a)(2), "Only One Responsible Source and no Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements."
