The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention intends to award on a sole source basis a purchase order to John Wiley and Sons Inc. located in Hoboken, NJ 07030. The purchase order is for the purpose of providing renewal of a one year subscription for a Multi-Site Online Access to journal titles. There are 58 subscribed journal titles. John Wiley and Sons Inc is the publisher of these journals already subscribed to by the CDC Information Center Library, and provides the only source for a multi-site license providing access to all CDC/ATSDR staff. The authority for this sole source is FAR 6-302-1 (a)(2) – Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The North American Industry Classification System Code is 511120. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation is available. However, firms that believe they can provide a multi-site access license for all the required journals need to submit written notification of interest and capability to the Contract Specialist within 15 days from the publication date of this notice. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
