The USDA, Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS), Plant Protection and Quarantine (PPQ), Otis Pest Survey, Detection & Exclusion Laboratory intends to procure Aerial Hyperspectral, Multispectral, and LIDAR Imagery services for the Emerald Ash Borer Emergency Program. The survey services will need to be performed approximately during the period August 7-27, 2005, as weather permits, in several locations in the Detroit metropolitan area (Michigan and northwestern Ohio).The USDA intends to award a firm fixed-price contract to the firm who represents the best value to the Government. The contract is expected to be awarded on or about July 22, 2005. This is a best value procurement. It is anticipated that the formal solicitation, Request for Proposal (RFP) 045-M-APHIS-05, will be released on or about June 24, 2005 and proposals will be due on or about July 15, 2005.
