The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) intends to procure from ForteBio the following: 1) one 30-5102 Octet HTX System for high throughput detection and fine resolution analysis for quantitation and kinetic characterization, using label-free, real-time analysis to include Octet HTX instrument, Octet software, desktop computer, 24" LCD monitor, accessory kit, and one year warranty; 2) 30-0504 HTX Install Kit; 3) one case of Streptavidin (SA) Biosensors; 4) one each 30-6012 Fortebio on-site basic training for new users; 5) one each 99-0036 On-site installation and performance validation of Octet HTX system. This system has unique design/performance specifications that are essential for the research of the Vaccine Research Center: 1) Stand-alone benchtop instrument for label-free detection of 96 samples simultaneously; 2) Highest throughput system based on Bio-Layer Interferometry (BLI) for characterization of affinity, binding kinetics, and active protein concentration; 3) User selectable 8, 6, 32, 48 or 96 sample detection in parallel; 4) Rapid, real-time whole plate (96-wp) analysis, ex. 3 minutes for concentration assays and 30 minutes for affinity; 5) system allows measurement in two 96 or 384 well plates (wp); 6) Compatible with impure samples, such as crude cellular lysate or cell culture supernatant ; 7) Increased tolerance to sample matrix, up to 25% serum or 10% DMSO; 8) Regeneration of biosensors in not mandatory; 9) Maximum sample well capacity: 768 (2s384-wp) & 192 (2x96-wp); 10) Dual detection modes: high sensitivity for finer signal resolution, and high throughput for quicker read times; 11) Compatible with all ForteBio biosensors; 12) Integrated epitope binding software. This will be a firm fixed price contract in accordance with the statutory authority for this sole source requirement 41 U.S.C. 253 (c) (1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1 only one source available, no substitutions possible, and this item contains proprietary information.
