PR # 41545110017 Intent to Sole Source The Fish & Wildlife Service (Southeast Region) in Atlanta, Georgia 30345 hereby gives notice of their intent to award a sole source contract order for repair services of a swamp buggy used for forestry and habitat restoration support activities to Young Repair and Fabrication, 7100 US Highway 27 S, Sebring, Florida 33876. The repairs consist of replacement of motor, transmission, rebuilding of front and rear axle, rebuilding of drive shaft, and prime/painting. Authority cited: Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 13.106-1(b)(1) Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. The proposed action will result in a firm fixed price purchase. The NAICS code is 115310 with a size standard of $7 million. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. However, all quotes received within three (3) days after the date of publication of this synopsis will be considered. Interested parties may identify their interest and unique capabilities to respond to this requirement or submit their quote. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement in successive years. Facsimile submissions and oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. Written responses shall provide evidence that the offeror can provide all of the requirements. Responses must be received no later than 15 Aug 2011, 3:00 pm, Eastern Time. The swamp buggy is located at the Florida Panther National Wildlife Refuge maintenance shop near Naples (Collier County), Florida. The Government will not pay for transport cost to the vendor's venue to assess repairs. Vendor will only have two days to assess repairs.
