The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center, Pacific (SSC-PAC) requirescontractor support to further develop Mako Chat capabilities. Mako Chattechnology was developed to become a transitional architecture for the Navy toincrease security levels and to evolve to Extensible Messaging and PresenceProtocol (XMPP)-based technologies. With regards to Mako Chat, AsynchronyHubzone LLC has proprietary rights to this software, and has unique experiencenecessary to further develop Mako Chat capabilities. For these reasons, theGovernment intends to award a sole source cost-plus-fixed-fee ID/IQ contract toAsynchrony Hubzone LLC for this effort. The contract Period of Performance isestimated at 3 years.
