The vendor shall furnish and install, to the best commercial standard, a children’s playground to the Stukeley Inn: RAF Alconbury, Cambridgeshire, PE28 4DA, United Kingdom. Below is an exerpt from the attached brief Statement of Work.
2.2.1 Equipment and installation must conform to all required UK health and safety regulations.
2.2.2. Must include installation of high quality wetpour recessed safety floor. Minimum area 140sqm
2.2.3 Play equipment must include; A least one slide, one regular swing and one suitable for inclusive play for children of all abilities and those who have limited mobility.
2.2.4 Equipment must be made from treated wood and must have a minimum 20 year guarantee. This must also include chamfered edges to avoid splinters.
2.2.5 Must include the removal of any spoil/waste material created by the installation.
2.2.6 Must include a pre installation survey.
2.2.7 Must include a minimum 2 year maintenance agreement.
2.2.8 Equipment needs to have a sign or label indicating age appropriateness.
2.2.9 Area or playground needs to be fenced in with 2 exit points
2.2.10 Wood parts need to be smooth from splinters and all corners, metal and wood should be rounded
2.2.11 Anchoring devices installed below ground level and covered with suitable material
2.2.12 All components need to be at least 6 feet apart
2.2.13 Fall surfacing must be a minimum of 6 feet from the end of the slide or the height of the slide not to exceed 8 feet
2.2.14 S-hooks need to be installed and completely closed so there is no gap or space greater than 04 inches.
3. ACCEPTANCE: Acceptance of the Playground and flooring will be official when it is fully installed, training is implemented, and operational check is performed successfully.
