Sealed Proposals will be received by the Borough of Mt. Oliver through PennBid until 11:00 A.M. prevailing time on Tuesday, April 4, 2023 for: SUNOCO STAIR IMPROVEMENTS This project involves the improvement of the concrete stairs and sidewalk located adjacent to the Sunoco Gas Station at the intersection of Brownsville Road and Marland Street, and the improvement of approximately 155 LF of sidewalk on Church Avenue, including but not limited to, the demolition and off-site removal of existing railing, concrete, and asphalt; fabrication and placement of new railing and concrete; core drilling; grouting; purchase and placement of approved concrete; reinforcement; formwork; finishing; curing; associated site and concrete pavement restoration; placement of 2” 19mm asphalt surface; traffic control; site protection; and all other incidental items, complete in place. All proposals must be submitted electronically via PennBid (www.PennBid.net), before 11:00 a.m. prevailing time on Tuesday, April 4, 2023. At that time, bids will be opened with results displayed publicly on PennBid. All bidders must be PennDOT pre-qualified for the major classifications of work included in this contract. Major classifications include E, F, F1, F2, and F3. Submitted bids must have the valid PennDOT Pre-qualification Certificate attached. There will be a non-mandatory pre-bid meeting on Tuesday, March 28th, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at the corner of Brownsville Road and Marland Street. All plans, specifications, and other documents related to this solicitation are available at no cost on the Pennbid site (www.PennBid.net). Pennsylvania Prevailing Wages must be paid on this contract. Bids must be accompanied by a Certified Check or Bidder's Bond from a Surety Company authorized to do business in Pennsylvania, made to the order of Municipality of Penn Hills, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania in an amount equal to ten (10) percent of the total amount of the Proposal. Bids shall be valid for ninety (90) days beyond the time of bid opening. The Borough of Mt. Oliver, Pennsylvania reserves the right to waive any formalities or to reject any or all Proposals.
