The objectives of this contract between NMFS Alaska Region and the contractor are to: 1) incorporate photos taken in the Susitna Delta in 2012 into the Cook Inlet beluga photo identification catalog; 2) summarize all Photo ID Project survey data with respect to calves and neonates; 3) identify mothers and calves in the catalog; 4) estimate inter-birth interval and calving rates period of maternal care/association; and 5) identify important habitat areas in upper Cook Inlet by known feeding behaviors and/or calf presence.
