Sealed bids will be received by the City pursuant to the provisions of O.C.G.A. 36-91-21 for a General Contract to furnish and install all materials, labor and equipment necessary for the Construction of the Sugar Hill Historic Cemetery project located in downtown Sugar Hill. The contract shall be awarded to the lowest responsible, responsive & qualified bidder meeting all criteria set forth in the bid documents. However, if over-budget, the OWNER may negotiate with such apparent low bidder to obtain a contract scope and price within budget. Bids will be received by the City of Sugar Hill at the customer service desk at 5039 W. Broad St, Sugar Hill, GA 30518, no later than 2:00 p.m. local time on Thu., March 17, 2022. Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at this location at 2:15 p.m. local time. Any bid received after 2:00 p.m. local time on the bid opening date will not be considered by the OWNER. Contract award is anticipated upon completion of bid evaluation and council action. All substitution requests must be submitted to the Architect by the deadline for questions and clarifications listed in the IFB. Approval will be made by written addendum, issued by the deadline in the IFB. No addendum shall mean that the Architect has NOT APPROVED that substitution and that it is not incorporated into the project. Substantial completion is (120) consecutive calendar days from Notice to Proceed.
