The U.S. Forest Service is contracting for land treatment services to treat Sudden Oak Death (SOD) sites that occur on the Rogue River-Siskiyou National Forest. Work includes the cutting of tanoak trees and all brush that is within a designated Pest Management boundary, and follow-up actions to slow or eradicate the disease through vegetation and/or herbicide treatments.
This contract will result in a firm-fixed-price requirements type contract. The estimated quantity stated in the schedule will reflect the approximate need the Rogue River-Siskiyou National Forest anticipates during the life of the contract. The estimated quantity is not a representation that the estimated quantity will be required or ordered, or that conditions affecting requirements will be stable or normal. When work is needed, the Government will issue task orders identifying the period of performance and actual quantities of services required. Utilization of the requirements contract has been determined to be appropriate for acquiring SOD needs because the Government anticipates recurring requirements, but cannot predetermine the precise quantities that will be ordered during the contract period.
The solicitation has been posted.
