The US Government (as Transportation Security Administration or TSA) currently occupies 28,810 ABOA / 29,101 RSF of office and training space at Albemarle Point Place in Chantilly, VA and intends to remain in the current space.  TSA intends to award a sole source succeeding lease to EB Albemarle, LLC whose address is 9841 Washington Blvd., Ste 300, Gaithersburg, MD 20878.    This is a notice of intent to award a sole source procurement action for existing space that is currently contracted through the TSA Direct Leasing Branch under a direct lease and which expires on 09/30/2020.  This notice is not a request for competitive proposals.

The Government will consider alternative space if economically advantageous to the Government.  The Government will consider, among other things, the availability of alternative space that potentially can satisfy the Government's requirements, as well as costs likely to be incurred through relocating, such as physical move costs, replication of tenant improvements and telecommunication infrastructure, and non-productive agency downtime when deciding whether it should relocate.  Otherwise the Government intends to pursue a succeeding lease and sole source acquisition at the present location.

A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed procurement action based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
