THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT AND IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES.

Naval Medical Center San Diego intends to award a firm fixed price sole source contract under the authority of 41 U.S.C. 253(c) (1) and FAR 13.106-1(b) (1) (i), only one responsible source, to:

The objective of this sole source award is to procure the subcutaneous implantable cardioverter defibrillator (ICD). The following supplies and/or services are needed for Subcutaneous ICD

1. Device
2. Lead(s)
3. Pacemaker service-to maintain the life of the device at no additional cost to the Government. 3-6 months checkup or as needed by the provider.

Boston Scientific is the only source that provides of the Subcutaneous ICD that meets the requirements due to these supplies are patient specific and are based upon the patient's anatomy.

This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes; however, interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement. All information received by 08:00 AM Pacific Time on January 12, 2016 may be considered by the Government. Responses shall be submitted to Uyen Tran at [email protected]. The email subject line shall state, "Naval Medical Center San Diego, "Notice of Intent to Award Sole Source Subcutaneous ICD". A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
