The Department of Commerce, NOAA Protected Species Branch of the Northeast Fisheries Science Center has a requirement to collect catch information from a study comparing experimental gillnets to standard gillnets in the mid-Atlantic groundfish gillnet fishery as described in the specifications provided with the solicitation. Award of a firm fixed price purchase order is anticipated utilizing Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The period of performance is September 1, 2012 through August 31, 2013 with one option period. The purchase order is expected to be awarded on or about July 18, 2012. The applicable NAICS number is 541712 and the small size standard is 500 employees. The Federal Supply Class is R516. This requirement is 100% set aside for Small business.

In order to comply with the Debt Collection Improvement Act of 1996, ALL CONTRACTORS must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) to be considered for an award of a Federal Contract.
