TRANSDUCER, ANALOG, 3.000 in/76MM; 9 ea 160-0643-C6NS, POS TRANSDUCER, ANALOG, 3-TURN 3.00 in/76MM DESC: INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE PROCUREMENT WITH FIRSTMARK AEROSPACE CORP. The Air Force, Edwards Air Force Base, CA intends to award a Sole Source purchase order to FIRSTMARK AEROSPACE CORPORATION, 1176 Telecom Dr., CreedMoor, NC 27522-8294. This is a Source purchase to FirstMark. FIRSTMARK is the only known source that can satisfy the requirements of the Government at this time. Please note that this is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all interested parties who believe they can meet the requirements are invited to submit in writing complete information describing their ability to provide the aforementioned Postion Transducers. If the office has not received any affirmative written responses by Close of Business (COB), 20 Sep 2010, a Sole Source purchase order will be pursued with FIRSTMARK AEROSPACE CORPORATION, 1176 Telecom Dr., CreedMoor, NC 27522-8294. These units are transducers that detect and measure lineal position and velocity utilizing a flexible cable and spring-loaded spool. The units measure the length of a moving object. The measurement cable can be connected directly to the moving part to give a direct measurement of point of interest. The units being procured by EDWARDS AIR FORCE BASE must have exact form, fit and function as the units presently installed in the T-38C.
