The Army Contracting Command – Rock Island is issuing this sources sought synopsis as a means of conducting market research to identify potential sources having an interest provide the following:

A quantity of three (3) Power strapping machines, to be installed in three Inspection bays. The strapping machines shall be electro-mechanically powered fully automatic heavy duty strapping machine with a foot switch to initiate and complete the packaging process hands free. Each machine shall be equipped with a 230V, 3 horse power, three-phase motor. The power strapping machine shall utilize black steel metal strapping size 3/8” x .010.

The result of this market research will contribute to determining the method of procurement, if a requirement materializes. Based on the responses to this sources sought notice/market research, this requirement may be set-aside for small businesses (in full or in part) or procured through full and open competition. Telephone inquiries will not be accepted or acknowledged, and no feedback or evaluations will be provided to companies regarding submissions.

The applicable NAICS code for this requirement is 333993 with a Small Business Size Standard of 500 employees. The Product Service Code (PSC) is 3540.
