As of 12/21/2010, The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), contemplates awarding, on a sole source basis, a firm-fixed price contract in accordance with FAR Parts 12 and 15 for the storage and rotation of pediatric vaccines manufactured by Sanofi Pasteur to be used as a national stockpile. CDC has purchased vaccines under a separate supply contract or delivery order, and the Contractor shall provide storage of the same at Contractor furnished sites. Sanofi Pasteur of Swiftwater, Pennsylvania has been determined to be the only responsible source for this requirement in accordance with FAR 6.302-1. Justification for other than full and open competition is considered to be in the government's best interest due to the fact that Sanofi Pasteur is the only company which has exclusive full capabilities to store and in particular, rotate the following vaccines without additional purchases, that Sanofi Pasteur manufactures:

The total Period of Performance is from May 1, 2011 - April 30, 2016, including four 12 month options.
