The 48th Contracting Squadron, RAF Lakenheath, UK intends to award on a sole source basis the following requirement:

Loading of two (2) export containers and the dishcharge of ten (10) containers will be conducted at quayside and anchorage. The period of performance will be 9-27 June 2008.

Services are available form only one source and no other type of service will satisfy agency requirements. The proposed contract action is for a service which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source und the authority of FAR 6.302-1. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
