The 839th Transportation Battalion’s intent is to support a short term Stevedoring and Related Terminal Services (S&RTS) contract in connection with the import and export of Defense Transportation System (DTS) sponsored cargo for port handling services at the Port of Agadir & Tangier, Morocco.  This contract will provide high op-tempo (including working multiple decks simultaneously on multiple vessels) S&RTS services, including all labor, material, and equipment per all requirements stated in the PWS at Agadir & Tangier, Morocco.

The Contractor shall provide all gear, equipment, materials, space, management and sufficient amounts of qualified labor to satisfy the full scope of stevedoring and terminal services and make every effort to rectify labor and equipment shortfalls, for which the Government will compensate the Contractor by applicable commodity or man-hour rates as designated by the Schedule of Rates (SOR).   The Government requires performance of all tasks at the Port of Agadir & Tangier, Morocco be completed in a manner consistent with the best commercial practices.  Tasks shall be inclusive of services required for vessel loading, cargo receipt and disposition, cargo staging, transfer of cargo, tallying and checking, and handling of Government provided securing materials.  This requirement includes physical security, facilities, storage/staging, office space and office supplies, and equipment to perform all required documentation, to include other related miscellaneous requirements.

In addition, the Contractor services will cover the full spectrum of ocean terminal operations to include discharging and loading of multiple types of vessels, operating staging and call forward areas including designated areas or facilities for washing or fumigation of imported or exported cargo.
